A full range of histology services for research and neuropathology

Located on Level 4 of the Kenneth Myer Building at the University of Melbourne the Neuropathology laboratory provides specialised tissue preparations including a broad range of immunohistochemical procedures to both internal and external research groups. Routine and developmental techniques are provided for a wide range of experimental tissues and the laboratory provides diagnostic histology services to the Victorian Brain Bank Network and the Australian National CJD Registry. The facility is equipped with modern instrumentation and the staff have extensive experience to support all types of histology related projects and can provide detailed costings for projects and grant applications.
The Facility has special expertise in all areas of general and neuropathology histology procedures including a broad range of immunohistochemical techniques.
