Overview

The SVI Flow Cytometry Facility supports a wide range of flow cytometric applications such as DNA analysis, immuno-phenotyping, lymphocyte function assessment, apoptosis and proliferation assays, just to name a few. The facility is PC2 and houses two analysers and two cell-sorters. The cytometers are equipped as follows:

  • LSRFortessa (1) – 4 laser analyser (488nm, 561nm, 640nm, 405nm) which detects 18 fluorescence and 2 scatter parameters and is also equipped with a high-throughput sampler (plates).
  • LSRFortessa (2) – 4 laser analyser (488nm, 561nm, 640nm, 405nm) which detects 16 fluorescence and 2 scatter parameters.
  • FACSAria – 3 laser cell-sorter (488nm, 633nm, 405nm) which detects 12 fluorescence and 2 scatter parameters and can sterile sort four different populations simultaneously and has the option of sorting into tubes or plate.
  • InFlux – 4 laser cell sorter (488nm, 561nm, 633nm, 405nm) which detects 18 fluorescence parameters. Equipped with small particle detection and 6 way simultaneous sorting.
