The room is capable of housing Class IV laser equipment, such as that used in Particle Image Velocimetry, or Molecular Tagging Velocimetry. This capability is achieved via door safety interlocks and the absence of windows. The room is equipped with a fume cupboard and sink as well as building nitrogen and compressed air.
The facility as the following equipment:
- Syringe pump (Angthos)
- Corona surface treater (Rotaloc)
- Oven (Memmert)
- Impedance analyser (SinePhase)
- Refrigerator/FreezerUltrasonic waveform generator
