Discover. Connect. Grow. is a morning event for making new discoveries, connecting with technical experts and growing your network. It brings together researchers from industry and academia with the expertise flexibility and technology from Victoria’s open for access Platform Technologies. The unique event aims to introduce pharmaceutical, manufacturing and small devices industries to those who can provide flexible solutions using the latest technologies and state of the art equipment.
Last year’s Discover. Connect. Grow. attracted more than 140 participants from industry, core facilities and research institutions to hear about expertise and technology available for R&D. This year promises to attract many more researchers from the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries as well as from academia, to meet with Core Facility Managers.

Phil will discuss the State Government’s views on industry in Victoria and the plethora of programs supported by the State Government to enhance access to platform technologies.
Prof Susan Charman, Director, Centre for Drug Candidate Optimisation, Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Sue will discuss the merits of platform technologies in Victoria, the role they play in the innovation sector and the wealth of knowledge, expertise and technologies available locally.

On 1 July 2014, the Australian Government introduced a new streamlined ‘Single Business Service’ to simplify and streamline the way Australian businesses access government information & services. John will provide an overview of the Single Business Service and the new Programmes being delivered through the Department of Industry, and in particular, the new Entrepreneurs’ Infrastructure Programme.
