This shared resource – incorporating the AAHL Biosecurity Microscopy Facility (ABMF) – provides world-class infrastructure and related technology platforms for researchers conducting projects requiring a high biocontainment/biosecure environment.

The Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) Centre for Cancer Genomic Medicine is a newly established facility offering Next-Generation Sequencing. The centre will utilise the latest Life Technologies SOLiD 5500 and Ion Torrent systems in addition to complementary third generation sequencing systems.

The Gandel Charitable Trust Sequencing Centre provides NATA accredited DNA capillary sequencing services. Established in 1999, the centre has an excellent reputation for quality, long-read sequence data and comprehensive client support.

The Molecular Genomics Core Facility encompasses both the Microarray Core facility and the Next Generation DNA Sequencing Core Facility. For both facilities, services to external researchers are offered when spare capacity allows.
