CSIRO Microfluidics, Lab-on-a-chip fabrication, micro- sensor systems

The CSIRO Microfluidics Laboratory was set up 10 years ago in response to the emerging needs for understanding the physics of fluid flow in micro-geometries and its manipulation plus for the development of Lab-on-a-chip devices that allow high sensitivity (single molecule level) of biological/chemical detection. The laboratory consist of multidisciplinary [...]

Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication

The purpose of the MCN is to fill the gap in Australia for open access, multi-scale fabrication infrastructure, spanning a range of fabrication environments and materials. MCN will provide the means to produce complex micro and nano-science based demonstration devices using an array of tools. MCN will comprise biological and [...]

IBES NBN Test Bed

IBES has established a state-of-the-art broadband network test-bed laboratory. The test-bed laboratory is a valuable resource for researchers across the full spectrum of activities in the Institute. The test-bed enables researchers and industry to trial new ideas and innovations in a real-life networking environment. Researchers can perform experiments, ranging from configuring applications vertically through the technology stack through to assessing end user reactions to new services and applications.

Microplatforms Research Group

The Microplatforms Research Group exploits the current revolution in accessible micro-technology to create platforms which enable fundamental research across all fields of science; achieve breakthroughs in important problems; and harness discoveries to create practical new technology. Our multi-disciplinary capabilities and wealth of practical experience at the micro-scale enables us collaborate with researches from diverse scientific disciplines to create unique platforms that are tailored to address important academic problems drawn from all fields of research.
