HMSTrust Laboratory

Located at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Delivery, Disposition and Dynamics, the HMS Trust Laboratory is a new facility bringing together state of the art equipment for chemical analysis and solid state characterisation.

Monash Immersive Visualisation Platform

The Monash Immersive Visualisation Platform features CAVE2(TM) - a world-leading capability for the display and interactive exploration of rich and large datasets. It is used by scientists, engineers and artists to visualise, manipulate and comprehend data such as engineering models, multi-dimensional images across the size scale from nanoscopic to cosmic, and the outputs of scientific, computational and engineering simulations across the physical and life sciences and the arts and humanities.

Florey Behavioural suite

The Florey’s Behavioural Phenotyping facility provides an opportunity to establish and/or expand the characterisation a vast array of rodent models. Our state of the art equipment and testing capability enable both powerful and sensitive screening of rodent behaviours.

MicroNano Research Facility

The MicroNano Research Facility (MNRF) representing diverse and high quality multidisciplinary micro- and nano-technology research within RMIT University is set to open its doors to users from mid 2014.

The Florey Advanced Microscopy Facility

A core facility of the Melbourne Brain Centre at Parkville. We provide access to optical microscopy including bright field and fluorescence microscopy, live cell imaging (both wide-field and confocal) and confocal microscopy, as well as specialised stereology and neuron tracing work stations. The facility also has state of the art facilities for image analysis, deconvolution and 3D rendering and animation (including  Amira, Huygens and Metamorph Software).

The ACRF Centre for Cancer Genomic Medicine (MHTP Medical Genomics Facility)

The Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) Centre for Cancer Genomic Medicine is a newly established facility offering Next-Generation Sequencing. The centre will utilise the latest Life Technologies SOLiD 5500 and Ion Torrent systems in addition to complementary third generation sequencing systems.

Monash Histology Platform

Monash Histology Platform is a world class, full service Histology Laboratory partnering for success in research, education and clinical results. Located within the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology, the Platform provides expert service, advice and training to internal and external clients for all histological studies involving fresh tissue and tissue embedded in paraffin, resin and glycolmethacrylate.

Burnet Cell Imaging Facility

Assists scientists from all disciplines to visualise and track the movement the cells. Provides guidance in the areas of project design, training and support in image acquisition and analysis. As part of the Monash Micro Imaging network, the facility gains has access to additional expertise and imaging platforms.
