Laser point scanning confocal microscope used for Live and fixed sample imaging

The Zeiss LSM 510 / Confocor 3 microscope is a versatile laser scanning confocal microscope which can be used for 3 colour fluorescence imaging and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS). The instrument is equipped with multiple laser lines (458, 488, 512, 561, 633 nm) and 4 PMT detectors for fluorescence and bright field DIC imaging. The Confocor 3 module with two high sensitivity avalanche photodiode detectors (APDs) is used for single photon counting as required in the FCS and FCCS techniques and can also be used as required for sensitive imaging applications where low laser power is needed or where the signal is weak. Microscope fitted with four high NA objectives lenses including 20x/0.8 Air, 40x/1.30 Oil, 100x/1.40 Oil, and a 40x/1.2 water correction lense (for FCS).
