Overview

Manufacturer: Bruker, ESI MS/MS with ETD. Installed 2008.

Electron transfer dissociation (ETD) is a fragmentation technique that preserves post-translational modifications. ETD MS/MS spectra of peptides can be collected on-the-fly during LC/MS/MS runs using the HCTultra PTM Ion Trap.

Benefits of the Bruker HCT (ESI MS/MS with ETD)

Linked to a nano-LC for protein separation prior to mass identification. Fragmentation technique that preserves post-translational modifications.
